3-D Bike Model (Based On Thonet Concept Bike)

This is my final project for my Advanced CADD class. This 3-D Original Bike Model was an exercise in 3-D design and assembly modeling with the use of AutoDesk Inventor. When planning for this project, I wanted to create a bike that was modern in design but also organic in shape and structure. I drew inspiration from the Thonet Concept Bike by Andy Martin Studio. The main body of a bike consists of the top tube, the seat tube, the down tube, and the head tube. Traditionally, these tubes are rigid and straight. To achieve an organic feel, the tubes in this model were curved and all connected. The flowing nature of the bike's body was also achieved through the curved handlebars, a single piece of wood connecting all the way down to the axis of the front wheel. The bike's body was then made of a finished wooden material to complete the nature-inspired look. The spokes of each wheel are curved in order to give the sense of motion and unity with the circular rim and tire.
