Assignment: design a pair of promotional headphones based on a top 40 song and its music video

 

My choice: Uptown Funk!, by Mark Ronson, feat. Bruno Mars. Inspired by the revamped-retro feel of the song, I pumped up a classic '70s headphone design with neon pink earcups, white leather padding, and gold detailing. 

Process: I referenced the aesthetic and feel of the music video as my main design inspiration, and constructed the model in Rhino from scratch.
