PodWaves Packaging

Podwaves Packaging
Design Principles II

Creating packaging for Podwaves was a personal choice made to enhance quality of the product.
Not a required part of assignment. I believe creating packaging for a product gives the product more complete look.
Also, I genuinly enjoy creating packaging and branding.

Objective: To create a sturdy packaging to show marketability of the product.
To treat packaging of a product as an experience rather than a disposable wrapper.

Point 1: Building Process

Laser cut 1/8in cardboard then attached necessary parts using adhesive. Packaging template was created to fit size of products appropriately.

Point 2: Interactive Packaging

Packaging was created to bring interactive experience when customers were opening the product for the first time.
Goal of this packaging was to re-think packaging as part of the product instead of a casing to be disposed.

Point 3: Sleeve

Wanted to create aesthetically fitting sleeve to emphasize content of the product. Choose pastel shades to create delicate feeling of plants.
The sleeve contains friendly advertisements and information regarding the product.

Point 4: Catalog

Created Catalog Brochure to give users more options on material of the product. Images rendered on Solidworks.
Materials vary from wood to plastics. Opens option of personal customization.

Point 5: Catalog Poster

Catalog Poster created for organized viewing options. Poster is divided in 'Front' and 'Back.'
