Shadow as volume simply expresses what the title implies. I looked at the same plaster volume and the shadow it creates turned at several different angles with the same light source.
This drawing represents the project as a study on light, similar to a sun dial. This drawing shows the object from the top view turned at several different angles. The outside shapes are the shadow it creates while turned at a particular angle. The darkened lines are the shadows I have modelled and the numbers represent the times that I finished them.
