The Basics of Typography Redesigned

This project was an attempt to redesign a basic typography textbook. The goal was to question how typography is taught by how it is layed out in books. At the same time, we also had take on the role of an author through the design and how much voice we can inject into a normally mundane text using design.

How I approached this project was to question how I would teach someone typography. The results are these green squiggles that deviate from the normal dry cut lines that usually remind me of a textbook. The green comes from the pen color my typography professor used to use to edit type layouts before the there were computers.
