Eveningwear, Fall/Winter 2016

 

This collection was inspired by the colors and shapes of winter as well as the feeling.  Winter in London and York England was a very prominent inspiration point for me, which can be seen greatly in my designs.  Looking at different things that involved winter also provided me with inspiration and design ideas.  I saw many images of wild deer and elk in snow covered forests and birds sitting on branches, with the color of their feathers being heightened because of the snowy backdrop that was being provided.  Looking to the colors of the evergreen trees during winter was another major source of inspiration for this collection, as the dark greens and browns contrasted beautifully with the snow that was covering them.
