For a semester, I built this book made almost entirely of fabric and thread. It was a very laborious process to embroider these portraits of my family and friends. I had the chance to reflect on memories and specifications of each person as I recreated them. When I displayed the book, I invited people to interact with it- allowing them to inspect the removable objects and to feel the different textures. My goal of this project was to allow my audience to experience and appreciate each character as if they personally knew them, too.
