Life Style Sports - launching in UK

Brief: To build a base via affiliate channels in the UK market for the Irish brand Life Style Sports prior to their own brand launch.
 
Solution: Working via affiliate channels, my main focus was on building brand recognition in the UK market, as Life Style Sports is known in Ireland for over 35 years. Working through Affiliate platform WebGains, I worked with all affiliates in this program, creating an enticing campaign. Over the first 4 months, I focused on working with sports sites primarily, and in doing so achieved 115% of revenue goals in this time period.
 
There after I began focusing on building relationships with those of greatest value to us on exposure levels and sales. Working with the retail calendar of the client, I was able to actively promote events occurring at key points in advance to maximise coverage, getting in ahead of other brands for sales and sporting events. This resulted in up to 50% increase in sales revenue in first week of launch of each sales throughout the year.
 
Alongside this, I contacted every sporting association in each university in the UK to be able to offer them a continuous discount for their students. Not only this offering, but was able to provide a solution to many a student association problem - funds. I was able to offer them a way to raise funds via affiliate if they were able to place a link on their site, or provide a link via email to their members - which once a sale was made via this link, the association would make an affiliate fee. This peaked many associations interest which lead to a direct communication channel with a key target audience for any brand - students. This lead to an increased brand recognition and online traffic counts by 80%.
 
During certain key points of the year - marathons, launch of new lines etc, I worked with sports and fashion bloggers, depending on campaign. Stella for adidas was key to working with fashion bloggers, due to the nature of the fashion designer, which also lead further to other collaborations on other brands our client stocked. As with many marathons, or long distance runs, many events are sold out well in advance, but we were able to secure several passes throughout the year for different events, which meant we could pass these onto bloggers and affiliates to run competitions as a way to thank them for their support, which helped them boost their viewers and subscribers.
