In the past, the livelihood of ancient Thai people related to culture, tradition, belief and arts. Due to the ties that they made with farm and field, familiarity of circumstance and its substance is there. For instance, palm leaf, coconut leaf and sugar palm leaf.
From the materials mentioned above, weaving is the manner of producing image to touchable objects such as Pla-ta-pian, known in English as fishshaped ornaments made of palm leaf. The mixture of exotic and belief are combined altogether in a single craft. Not indicating only aesthetics but also signify richness as the period of full-grown fishes and harvest are at the same time.
Since the belief and craftsmanship of Pla-ta-pian have been harmonizing entirely, hence I bring up this topic to show the relevant contemporary Thai culture nowadays to the past. The artwork I would put onto the environment of flame and richness at Benchasiri Park where properly attracts audiences to see the new aesthetics in company with the decent scenery. I intend to bring Thai art and cultural into modern times to be recognized by Thai people in present era.
