This is a project done by three classmates, Do-Kyeong Lee, Eugene So, and Jisu Park, in Design Studio class in RISD. The assignment was to pick a place and build an installation respecting the story and nature of the place. We chose the well in Roger Williams National Memorial which was the first water supply in Providence, Rhode Island. The well has now dried up and is used as a historical landmark. We made water stencils and spelled 'THIS IS WHERE IT ALL STARTED' as a metaphor of the past and present state of the well.
