TEXT TO DRUMDepicting components of speech through drum arrangements
The aim of this project was to demonstrate the difference in types of poetry through their sound. I selected three authors of poetry and assigned each component of speech (noun, verb, conjunction, etc) to a piece of the drum kit. I mapped the words of the poems to their allocated line in drum notation. A colour was allocated for each author. I also asked my brother to record the drumming of each poem.
