BRIEF:
To create a premium gift available through boutiques and e-commerce that people are willing to pay more for.
 
DESCRIPTION:
When approaching this brief I looked at what makes something premium, and what people want from a gift. After conducting research it was evident people like a gift that feels like it is just for them, and that thought has been put into it. From this, the idea of Kitkat Custom steemed, “A stylish, customisable chocolate box like never before, perfect for any occasion and anyone.”
Kitkat customs shape embodies Kitkat as a brand through being a giant Kitkat finger. The inner finger contains 20 Kitkat miniatures, 10 on display presented in individual slots, the remaining 10 within. The exterior packaging of the finger is customisable - allowing for pattern choice, small side message and a long message on the base. The exterior being the only part customisable allows for a more cost effective outcome for both the consumer and manufacture as only a thin card shell is to be printed vs. the entire structure. Kitkat Custom as a whole features minimal branding, unique eye catching designs, customisable messages, embossed features and a unique shape and display allowing it to fit into and stand out from competitors in the premium market place.
