ARLINGTON & ANGELL
The following is the documentation of a two-part installation project. In an attempt to change the perspective of morning commuters in Providence's Wayland neighborhood, I constructed a small concrete staircase and placed it on a stretch of sidewalk next to a large stone wall, allowing pedestrians to see over a wall that is normally obstructive. The second part involved placing ten laser-cut plexiglass mirrors along the wall, allowing walkers to suddenly see themselves on their morning commute. After photographing strangers interacting with the two installations, I created a photobook to explain and document the process.
