A BITTER PILL TO SWALLOW
Herbalism has been described as the intersection of medicine and food. While some may be attracted to this all-natural alternative to modern medicine, there are many reasons to stay away from herbal remedies. In the following book, I conduct an exploration of several "all natural" products sold as medicine that have harmful effects on both the user and the environment. Accompanying the statistical information are photos of herbs from a local apothecary and graphics of mock pill bottle labels. This project was done under the guidance of Paul Soulellis in Design Studio 3.
