This design work starts from calligraphy in culture. <Lanting Xu> is a famous calligrapher in ancient China. It is a popular sample that people learn calligraphy from. This work is to reproduce his calligraphy as a book with the author’s background and the meaning of the article. Bookbinding, papers and annexes reflect the calligraphy culture in ancient china.
 
Rice paper was widely used in Ancient East Asia. They were supplied for printing books and in particular used for calligraphy writing. It is even still used today in East Asia. 
 
The binding method is Japanese binding. In terms of meaning, tea culture is a significant part of Japanese life when men appreciate calligraphies, so the tea curtain is an annex to this design work.
 
The main layout aim is to demonstrate the particular writing and reading ways of calligraphy, to clearly let the audience be able to read the stories in line with ancient thinking and methods of writing.
