With research taken from a focus group, a key danger for arthiritis sufferers in cooking food was the action of transporting a pan of hot water to the sink and pouring the hot water into a colander. With the shifting weight of water in a pan and high strain on the wrist when pouring this action can be quite dangerous for those who suffer with rheumatoid arthiritis.
The Kendal Cook set incorporates a pan and colander into one set so the user can drain the water back into the pan using the two handles provided. The colander can then be placed on a stretch-fit rubber base so it is also suitable for service on a dinner table.
