Design Approach

By observing the behavior of public users (pedestrians and bikers) in urban spaces and how they act when there no seats around. We realized people come up with spontaneous solutions to get the rest they need then continue on with their day. Interesting solutions we noticed such as;
Sit on the edge of the sidewalk.
Lean on a parked car or on a wall.
Bikers lean their bike insecurely.

Design Development
Those solutions developed spontaneously by the public were our inspiration. We integrated those solutions to develop an innovative piece of urban furniture.We Started off with an abstract hollow box, applied the dimensions of the above uses to that box, keeping in mind the volumetric variation and modularity of our product. We finally came up with MR JOY.
