The expansive growth of MakerBot has led the way in the contemporary redefinition of “making” through 3D printing. MakerBot’s vibrant community on Makerbot Thingiverse shares 3D printing works and ideas, and failures and successes, expanding the accessibility of DIY jewelry.

It has also expanded the physical reach of such jewelry. Once the file is created and uploaded online, it becomes accessible for anyone else to download, print, and have. This exhibition presents a small survey of some of the thousands of jewelry works available on the Thingiverse database.
