This is a thank you letter from Private Lebensohn to Mr. Tress, Purim 1943. Lebensohn was not a typical young American GI, because, according to Mr. Elly Kleinman, he was born in Poland. Sometime in 1942, when he was forty-three years, he was drafted into the US Army in 1942. But, he was transfered to work for Mr. Tress, because he was above the age of 38 years old. When Lebensohn wrote a letter to Mr. Tress, who arranged a job in a war production facility for Lebensohn, so he was transferred back to New York...
