For Lisa.
I was approached by a friend and asked to create a typeface for her. She only asked that it resemble her in the way i see her. The lady was called lisa and was a happy soul with a brilliant smile and elegance spilling from her every movement, I decided to base this new typeface on Helvetica Neue. Looking through the weights within the type family the best fitting was Ultra Light which was already elegant in itself so half the work was done.
The way i approached this was to add tiny droplets to the ends of the strokes to add a clean friendly feel to a quite stiff and hard type.
