8. ISPC, Skopje 2015 Enabled for Disabled Work 1

Initiation point of these works was to produce discomfort to the audiences of the posters to reflect the standpoint of visually disabled. By just reading the text on the poster; audience gets the idea of a dialog however lack of visual elements creates a disturbance in understanding even if audiences are familiar to well known movie quotes, just like a visually disabled watching a movie.

Audio description according to Wikipedia, also referred to as a video description or more precisely called a visual description, is an additional narration track intended primarily for blind and visually impaired consumers of visual media (including television and film, dance, opera, and visual art). It consists of a narrator talking through the presentation, describing what is happening on the screen or stage during the natural pauses in the audio, and sometimes during dialogue if deemed necessary.

In visual arts designers, directors, artists in general ignore visually disabled people however with audio description it is possible to get over barriers of visual arts. The most common example of these barriers in art is in the cinema. For a functioning social life at least the producers and directors need to provide audio description for their works in order to satisfy the social needs of visually disabled. So Support Audio Descriptive Movies.
