Sculpture - Fine Art degree show (many moons ago)

This sculpture was made from wire and tissue paper (Each layer of tissue paper was brushed with pva and forced dried with a hairdryer. After a few layers of tissue paper, the figure's 'skin' was quite strong like a drum skin). The figure is self standing, and kept upright by the glass pebble in its hand.
This wire figure is again kept upright by the weight of a stone. I liked the idea of my metal figures standing independently.
This wire figure is about 5ft tall. I made this to be viewed from all angles, only after walking round it you get to see the shapes that make it work as a whole figure. I like using wire because it was like drawing in 3D.
When this figure was tapped/touched, the hands would chime together and the whole figure made sounds.
This is another self standing figure. Held in balance by the stone in its hand.
I welded hammered sections of steel to the figure, like body armour.
Another self standing piece, made from copper.
This is a plaster relief, coloured with powdered charcoal. This very much reflected my fascination with the human body, very much inspired by dancers/athletes.
Carved sandstone.
Carved pink sandstone.
