INKtober 2015

INKtober was a great challenge I decided to join the same october 1st.

For the ones who don't hear about it (or think some client asked me for drawing this whole series), INKtober was a worldwide event free to join, and the challenge was to draw -and ink- one piece every single day of the month. Some people used the Drawloween* drawing list to gain time. I prefer to think more about a concept for every draw. So, everyday I search for references and began sketching over still images of the real movie I saw daily.

I choose to work on horror movies, because are my favorite ones. And furthermore, zombifying some of the characters I draw. And even more!! choosing movies that are on the Misfits's songs (obviously not all).

The tools: My old quillpen, a couple of Kolinsky #2 and #4 rounded real sable hair brushes, some winsor & newton ink, and for some quick drawings, use Sakura brush ink-pen and ink-markers.

If it wasn't of my health issues I'm pretty sure should be reach the 31 ink-drawings. No excuses, I'm going to finish the last 11 of them! (Someday soon).

*Drawlowenn is another event similar to INKtober, but just for drawing, not necesarily INKING.
