In the Summer of 2015, I spent three months in the woods of Northeast Vermont, in a residency hosted by the illustrator Ghostshrimp. July through September, I rose early to work on the incomplete cabin I used as studio and lodging. From noon till dark, I hiked the nearby woods and made studies and paintings in various media. The following paintings were made in July, and appeared in an exhibition at the Porter Mill Gallery in Massachusettes, in August.
