The assignment was only to use black and white colors to create a book layout for Edgar Allan Poe's Tell-Tale Heart. Reading the The Tell-Tale Heart was an extremely dramatic experience for me. My book layout was inspired by the spotlight on stage. Additionally, in the story, I noticed that Edgar Allan Poe talks a lot about turning on the light and turning off the light. Therefore, I made all of my pages black, and only used beams of light to lighten selected areas to make the book more scary and mysterious, because the viewers don't know what is actually happening in the darkness. All they are able to see is the areas that is lighted up.
