I strongly feel medicine is no more a service in India. Its simple business. All that the hospitals want is to earn money. Inspired from this thought i tried showing what i believe in through weaving. So i made a yarn from a medicine and tried using it in the weft to do simple plain weave on my table loom. I then changed my approach and made a double fabric in the same sample and tried putting the medicine yarn in a more creative way. The idea was to make it look unusual and unfamiliar while weaving so that it reflects that medicine has changed its course from service to business. Also i tried putting in visually the caged effect so that the medicine seem trapped and restrained from doing the right thing - saving people's lives.
