A Usability Survey Questionnaire was prepared in order to collect user feedbacks and their comfort level while using the Product. The Questionnaire was designed using data from a brief analysis conducted over a log of bugs raised by users in past few months. Due to constraints of time and resources, we just rolled out the survey using print out forms, instead of creating an online one. We immediately needed some data to support and target certain basic usability issues existing on the Product.
As users in the BPO industry are on a strict schedule often, and there is more 'lack of willingness' than 'lack of time' to respond to such non-organization-enforced surveys, we managed to get responses from 10% of our Base))) users tagged to one of our Clients. Even though the numbers were minimal, the questionnaire response came out with some striking data for us.
Users had tried to be neutral towards rating performance, features & functionality related multiple choice questions, but they poured their hearts out in the space provided for 'Comments' & 'Suggestions'. These ideas created a strong ground for us to point out some issues that needed immediate attention for the Product Owners.
