Nomadic Furniture

To live a nomadic lifestyle is to make the world your home.
Defined as being cut off from fixed templates and local association, nomads take a broader and simpler view of the world.
This very definition is the basis of this furniture.
From basic shapes as core unravel a broader form that follows the same silhouette. The far end connects with the beginning with a very simple lock sysytem, the adventure of wandering about through life.
The silhouette provides shelter in the rain. In the sunshine interesting patterns are drawn as dots of sunlight peep through the skylight. These patterns can be manipulated as the base is extended in relation to the core to put these on either side or in the center. The core is a chest that is also a table or bed, and the base is the plane on which work or rest is done.
At the end of this chapter and the start of another one the locks are set free and all is rolled off around the core, secured with straps that are slung around the shoulders.
