Laura Griffiths's profile

University Work - Final Year Design - Upcycling

You are asked to research, develop, and present a pilot collection based on an eco-fashion ‘up cycled’ theme. This range will consist of 6 separates which can be identified as a collection. You may choose your season and design a range of separates that would work well for an existing brand, knowing that they do not yet produce one. This collection must show the development of exciting and innovative handicrafts and you must show these experimental processes together with the actual designs through CAD into an ‘individual, inspirational, innovative’ visual portfolio. There must be evidence of research into 'mood' - themes, trends, inspiration and colours, as well as fabrics and embellishment options. Final CAD illustrations of the range to show each garment as a fashion sketch and as a working drawing.
- Design brief set by course leader.
