Refashion Kit

 

This is the Refashion Toolkit. It was fashioned out of a repurposed hat box in accordance with the overall purpose of refashion. Many of the contents were recycled or inherited goods as well. Refurbish Toolkit

 

The Refashion Toolkit has 3 sub kits within it. A Refurbish kit, a Refashion kit, and a sewing kit. The Refashion kit has everything you might need to alter or refashion old clothes. The Refashion Toolkit consists of fresh black and white shoe laces, black dye and gloves, 3 zippers in black, brown, and grey, and a D.I.Y. project to breath life into an old, boring shirt. The Refurbish kit contains tools to refurbish old clothes that might simply need a little love to breath life back into them. It consists of a dry clean stick, a magic eraser to clean shoes, buttons and various fasteners. Reduce >> Reuse >> Refashion.

Sewing Kit

The Refashion Toolkit also contains a sewing kit. The sewing kit is housed in a jar with a push pin topper that has several push pins included. The internal contents are; three spools of thread, mini sewing scissors, a measuring tape, fabric chalk, buttons, a thimble, a needle threader, and safety pins of various sizes. The Refashion website offers more information on the Refashion movement. It includes information on the textile waste problem, tutorials on refashioning and refurbishing, and a blog where users can upload their own refashion stories.
