Pond House

Pond house had previously been extended through its permitted development rights in a traditional way to maximise the volume of the property. Our client purchased the property and wanted to not only give the house a contemporary face lift, but also increase the properties reception spaces. MBA negotiated a very difficult planning permission with RBWM to remove an outbuilding and an area of pitched roof, in an exchange for a new side extension and dormer window to the first floor. The planners consented to the scheme because the net affect of the demolition and additions did not increase the overall volume of the property. This allowed a large open plan kitchen and living space, a sun room and a separate entrance hall to be created. As well as making the bedroom on the first floor into a usable bedroom with the large dormer window to give views over the open countryside to the rear.
