Craftsman Kitchen gets updated
Original Craftsman Kitchen gets renovated with some walls moved around and appliances moved.
The homeowner was doing most of the work himself and the project was being placed on hold for several months so a 2x4 temporary sink base was built with prefab laminate top on it.
3 months passes the homeowner was feeling distressed so they called me (Clare White-ClockwiseDesign) for HELP, “I don’t know what to do"?
The homeowners did get a Home Depot design & quote 1 week prior to meeting with me. The Home Depot design had stuffed the room with cabinets to create a nice sale. I determined that since the home is a 2 bedroom rental, had a huge pantry area was just off the kitchen, and the homeowner did not need the room filled with wall to wall cabinets.They needed a layout that is functional and pleasing. I drew up 3 proposal designs and the homeowners chose which one worked for their budget and fit with the home. The one I really liked is the one with a pass through (see at the end under Option A), but the cost of everything didn’t work within the budget.
