Readymade organ 2013

In the future we will engineer our own bodies. We will repair and improve our failing organs ourselves. An artificial heart will take over from our natural one. Technology will analyse our bodies, to put it back together again, support mutations and work on an “everlasting life”. I question how far we can push this integration of technology for a better functioning body, our striving for perfection. It shows our fear of losing control over our own systems through rapid medical developments. The resulting work is humorous, yet shows a viewer of the not-too-distant future.
