Winged hat. Scrim, buckram, steel

Molded and felted wool hat. There is maroon netting around the front to cover the face and add a bit of mystery. The back is open so you can wear your hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun. I added cream ribbon in the grooves of the hat to separate it a bit. On the right side I put a dark pink ostrich ploom and decorative flower elements to balance out the unusual shape of the hat

Molded Straw Hat. Straw, silk taffeta, feathers, button

Molded crown, draped brim silk taffeta hat. The crown is dark purple silk taffeta and brown taffeta has been gathered half way around the crown. There is a black and gold silk vintage remnant that I put around the bottom of the brim and tied into a bow on the side.
