Colosseum was built nearly 2,000 years ago. It is estimated that the games played in the Colosseum for hundreds of years have taken the lives of about 500,000 people and over a million wild animals. This is nothing compared to 3.1 million children died of hunger each year and world wildlife population halved (several millions) over the past 40 years due to human activites.
