THE STACKED WINES PROJECT
Not long ago, I was presented with the task of buying a bottle of wine for a family member, I found it remarkably difficult to choose a bottle that I thought would be suitable, so I ended up buying one based on price and which label visually had the most impact. For someone with little knowledge on the subject of wine, buying the right bottle can be difficult. The fundamental aim of the Stacked Wines Project is to make wine more accessible to a new market of new wine drinkers. Labels for wine are uniform and boring; they follow the same traditional format in terms of typography and layout. I feel like there is real potential to create a brand of wines that simplify the task of choosing wine as well as making packaging more visually exciting.
