The product launch of CustomersConnect.com had to immediately differentiate itself from the quagmire of marketing material that data and database companies deliver to the market place.
This was an online service aimed at SMEs not normally associated with buying data, either owing to lack of funds to bulk buy or lack of knowledge on how to use it. This gave the opportunity to log-on and 'custom-pick' data as and when it was required.

We moved completely away from the usual lifestyle themes of the competitors and utilized the idea that these new customers were always at your fingertips (through the keyboard). By cutting facial features and clothes from magazines and placing them on images of fingers we created some striking characters that immediately elevated the product from the competitors and lent itself to the idea that you could build your customer database yourself. The 'cutout and create your own' theme was continued with the lead typographical message Ð letters being cut from magazines.

Supported by full page ads in the business press, this eye-catching and entertaining campaign helped to deliver 150,000 hits on the site in the first month.
