This exhibit is designed to act as a directory and informational landmark for local farmer’s markets in the Pittsburgh area. The outside of the structure has signs and plant boxes to resemble the look and feel of a farmers market. The inside of the structure has information about the benefits of farmers markets, proper etiquette to adhere to at the market, and a map of the local markets with details about the goods sold by each. As an added interactive element to promote sustainability, there is a vending machine located near the local market map, which dispenses canvas bags visitors can take with them to the markets.
