It started with studying the inspiration thoroughly. Based on which I developed representations manually and digitally.
The second stage involved translating it onto ceramic. This was done by using different surface techniques : Sgraffito, inlay , glazing and Nerikomi. Bowl is a form that fascinates me, majorly because of its simplicity and the many ways it can be used efficiently.
Technique: Nerikomi. These platters were made in a Nerikomi workshop by Finnish artist Elina Sorainen at NID.
