The book given for this assignment was a collection of sixteen short stories written by author Miranda July. Every story has a different theme but the characters are very similar in personality throughout the book, all of them being misfits and with a unique sense of humor.

With this in mind the book cover was designed to resemble a white wall scribbled to its maximum, simbolizing the caracters’ personalities.

Even though it is present on the title — No One Belongs Here More Than You — the word “you” is never written, being represented by the mirror in the center. There’s a die cut on the book jacket where the glass should be, which allows the reader to look at their own reflection on the book’s reflective hardcover.
