Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) Treatment Lamp
A minimalist light designed to improve the users mental health and well being.
This light was made during my time studying at HDK, University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Designed to be hung from the ceiling or mounted on a wall depending on the users needs. The light has a strip of LEDs color accurate to between 5000 and 6000 Kelvin to trigger the brains sunlight response. By convincing the brain it is receiving sunlight helps reset daily rhythms of body temperature, hormone secretion, and sleep patterns. All components were manufactured by hand.
