Playing off the concept of the butterfly knife, this harmless utensil can nevertheless be flourished as though it were a blade, making for an amusing dining spectacle. All shaping was done by hand with chisels, gouges, and sanding. The final spoon has a danish oil finish, so is food safe, and has a smooth action so that it can be fanned like a real butterfly knife. The neck of the spoon takes its form from the blade and kicker on an actual knife.
