The baseline grid and gutter are both 4.5mm, or 12.76pt, which is optimal for body copy leading.
I designed this grid in 2010 to give my work better structure and speed up my workflow.
I still use it today for any A4-based document, and scale these principles for other sized documents, print and digital.
I've found that designing a project on a solid grid, and then breaking out of it, produces the best results.
