Securing children’s rights is a publication written in collaboration between SOS Children’s Villages
International and the Council of Europe. Building on the success of past collaborations which resulted in
the publication of the Discover your rights! booklet, the Council of Europe and SOS Children’s Villages
International embarked on another ambitious project, to develop a guide to inform social care professionals of the
rights of children in alternative care and, in doing so, to promote a child rights-based approach to their practice.
