FAO Pavilion - 14th World Forestry Congress

The 14th World Forestry Congress took place at Durban ICC from 7th till 11th September 2015.

This hugely important gathering of role players from around the world saw a range of key topics discussion and ultimately led to a resolution being passed that seeks to protect our natural environments.

Of the 4 exhibits we produced at this event, The Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) Pavilion was the flagship of the exhibition and was used extensively to showcase a variety of initiatives and host numerous high level meetings and delegations.

The 12m diameter circular layout of this pavilion made it unique in comparison to typical square or rectangular exhibition layouts. This was an especially effective layout that allowed for numerous features including

- A cinema zone
- Private meeting room
- A youth zone with selfie masks
- Regional displays
- An extensive literature library
- Large integrated store
- Overhead branding via a tensioned 6m diameter stretched fabric print
- Occasional meeting areas.
- Various multimedia screens

This exhibit was constructed using entirely reclaimed, sustainable or recycled materials. Post show much of the timber was recycled onsite. These will be repurposed and used for construction projects in communities.

All in all a very successful project, which resulted in exceptionally happy clients and rave reviews from delegates
