Nokia Transit is a location based app for public transport on Nokia S40 feature phones. Nokia Transit is part of the HERE suite of apps (e.g. HERE Drive, HERE Maps, HERE Transit, HERE City Lens and the corresponding Nokia branded apps).
Features:

- Choose from multiple routes and follow the list of directions for buses, trams, underground or trains.
- Use the map to find out how to walk to the stop or see what’s around it.
- Plan your trip ahead using the time options.
- Have your favourite destinations saved to future use on your trips.
- Have your favorite trips saved for offline usage, saving time and money on data plans.
- Find nearby stations, departure times and even types of transit lines available around your location.
- View detailed line stops and times before you get off.

In Nokia Institute of Tecnology, we had the opportunity to create the Nokia transit version for S40 fulltouch devices. Nokia had already launched versions for symbian and Lumia and our team was challenged to also come up with a solution for the low-end users. We had to understand their specific needs versus their device capabilities to bring them the best experience while navigating in cities. A lot of user-centered studies and research, including field interviews and brainstorming meetings with target users, helped us to build this application version. Nokia design experts also got involved sharing their findings, branding guidelines and generous support until the application was delivered. I was responsible for UI Design including all visual documentation and assets creation, working together with UX Designer, Vanessa Siqueira and the INdT development team.
