Description:
This series of approximately 50 drawings are my response to Victor Lara's final assignment during RISD foundation year second semester Drawing class. My goal was to improve my sense of touch and line quality while achieiving maximum expression with marginalized information. I explored wet and dry charcoal, inks, graphite, and other unconventional methods of drawing. My tools had no parameters, including my hands, paper towels, brushes, shammy cloth, even my feet. All were drawn from life, using windows, mirrors, spoon reflections, or simply touching my face. The drawings are a mix of 18 x 24 and 8 x 10 inches.
Media:
