Analysis of Trump, the Media and Republicans

After examining the cartoon Trump, the Media and Republicans, the reader can interpret that the author, Daryl Cagle, is conveying that the Republican Party is infuriated because the media is solely focusing its attention on Donald Trump's negative actions and remarks. The media desires exuberant and exasperating stories; Trump insulting his fellow presidential candidates, immigrant groups, women and news commentators are exactly what they're looking for. Observing Trump's posture one can infer that he is irritated that the media only wants to publicize him in a negative light and only see him as a stooge. The elephant, which represents the Republican Party, is clinching its fist as if he is about to explode in vexation that the media is representing the Republican Party as sexists and racists because they're using Trump's stupidity to overshadow his fellow candidates. Although Trump behaves as an independent, he declares that he is a republican. Cagle used two of the brightest colors to project the media’s demands for more insults. The media appears to run behind Trump as if he is the next meal waiting for his next insult. Trump seems to ridicule other candidates from the presidential party for example, he released Lindsey Graham’s phone number. After reviewing a few of Cagle’s cartoons there is a strong possibility that he is a liberal or republican. The Republican Party’s level of frustrating is rising more as the media gives Trump airtime. Trump’s body language could be perceived that he is discontented with the fact that the media no longer cares to hear about his views, but only his stupidity. It’s very safe to say that his own tactics to boost his ego backfired on him in the long run. The cartoon was only created on August 8th and Trump is already the laughingstock of the campaign.
