Natural Phenomena is a project that explores the textural and elemental patterns within our world. Looking at two different sources- Japanese Noh theatre robes depicting flowing water and a part of a decorative dress featuring floral elements- I turned my attention to finding a way to depict naturally occurring patterns and ephemera. The collection of four interior print patterns are the curious amalgam of the oraganic nature of the human hand and digital manipulation that strives to capture the strange and beautiful manifestation of ice flowers. Thinking about how the natural and synthetic interact, these interior prints envelop the user in beauty and function.
