During the spring semester of their sophomore year, RISD Apparel students are randomly assigned 3-5 yards of printed fabric to design and construct a garment out of. I was assigned a one-way landscape print on a silk crepe fabric.

For this project I was inspired by traditional japanese cherry blossoms to create a kimono and under ensemble reminiscent of japanese drumming uniforms. The finished garment includes silk chiffon panels and is fully lined and finished.
